Blackberries
With so many wild plants growing in the gullies and along the roadside, there is little need of cultivated blackberry vines. However, our garden plant is refreshingly devoid of thorns making it infinitely more friendly to deal with.
Berries can be eaten fresh but I find that the seeds can be rather hard on the teeth and so I often choose to stew with windfall apples. A good way to dispose of apples that aren't suitable for eating raw.
