Details
Graceful grass tolerates moist or dry soils. A monotypic genus of grass indigenous to New Zealand. Thrives in both sun and shade. The grasses glossy green foliage turns to a coppery colour in the auntumn and sometimes stays through into winter depending on the dryness of the soil. Freely self-seeds and grows in 1 metre by 1 metre clumps with red airy flower stems appearing in spring. Further plants can be propagated by division in the middle of spring and the start of summer.
